Some of the greatest evidence of the resurrection of Jesus lies within today’s text. Michael Anthony will be explaining how hundreds of people witnessed Jesus risen from the dead, and how they suffered great persecution because of this belief. The Romans tortured Christians if they didn’t confess they were lying about seeing Jesus risen from the dead. The fact that hundreds of Christians became emboldened to preach the gospel and endure extreme torture, proves the resurrection.

Message 19 in our verse-by-verse series through the entire book of Acts.
Our fallen world would love to tear apart Scripture and point out every perceived contradiction found amongst its pages. In today’s message, Michael is going to address these supposed “contradictions” and help us understand what they mean for the reliability of the Bible. It is undebatable that there are differing details between separate accounts in Scripture, but does this make it wrong? It does not, in fact these differences often stress new perspectives and give us a deeper understanding of the story.
God is not subject to the same limitations of time as we are. We believe and trust in God’s Word, believing that what it said happened did happen. Yet we often struggle to trust that the promises for the future will come true. We don’t know when, and in some respects we don’t understand how, but Jesus promised He will return to take us home. In today’s message, Michael encourages us to cling to, cherish, and take great hope in this promise. It may be tomorrow, or a hundred years from now, but it will happen!
Do you meet the standards laid out in Scripture to qualify as an Elder or Deacon in the church? These titles are unfamiliar in our world today, as are the qualifications. Are you above reproach? Are you a living, breathing reflection of your Savior? In today’s message, Michael challenges us to aspire to these qualities and to look for them in our fellow believers. It is not possible under our own power. Only Christ was truly blameless, and through His redemption we are made like Him in the eyes of God.
